Not here to debate.
My wife and I both have CCW's. I carry almost any time possible, as do most of the criminals.
My wife carries all the time as she always has our two little girls with her.
My responsibility as a father/husband, in my opinion, is to do anything to protect my family.
As long as criminals are carrying guns, so will I.
My family would rather see me in front of a jury than a coroner.

God Bless America and those fighting to defend the freedom we have to exercise our rights!

I agree with jbax. I would carry a gun for personal protection and the protection of my loved ones. There are always going to be criminals out there and it is easy to get an illegal gun if you want it. Even if we had a law stating that civilians cannot carry guns, there would still be people that would have ways to get them pretty easily. There will always be corrupt people for the right price in this world, no matter where you are.

I do believe that a gun used in the right way can de-escalate a situation. And if a bullet must fly than it should be directed to a non vital part of the body, Leg perhaps. People will always be killing eachother and causing harm. It is in our nature. We all get angry and we all get out of hand sometimes.

Just thought some might find this interesting.
A few links to some news stories from Aus.

Hobart, Tasmania Shooting Rampage; Worst Massacre in Australia
and
MAN GOES ON SHOOTING RAMPAGE IN NORTHERN AUSTRALIA ...

Just thought some might find these an interesting read as Aus. and thier lack of gun violence has been referenced several times in this thread.

I don't know about you but I'd prefer the option of shooting back at these types if they come into/around an establishement I am at rather than wait for the "Special Task Force" to do something.
Just my .02

Don't be fooled, it can happen anywhere, sadly.

And with that the great CBRForum gun debate (that wasn't supposed to be a debate) comes to an end. I have been asked by the originator of this thread to lock it and I will honor that request.
