I ended up finding a pair of Alter Ego pants at a local shop after all - so I'm super happy.
I had the on-road portion of my training course this weekend - oh man am I ever tired. Two days of back to back 7:45 starts and we ran until 4-5. Yesterday POURED, now I really know the limits of my "waterproof" gear.
Oh, I also passed my first road test (we have progressive licenses in Ontario) so now I'm allowed to ride after dark and on the highway !!!!
PS - mid 2nd gear slaloms = FUNN!!

Jeff,
Glad to hear you got a pair of pants you like. How warm are they? I'm looking for a pair of textiles but am worried about roasting in the summer.
Sounds like you guys have a heck of a lot more testing to go through than we do around here, in ND anyway. I'd be curious to see the rate of accidents among first-year riders between the two. I'm a fan of practice, practice, practice so keep us posted on the road tests.
