Default Can this missing hose cause hard starts?

Day 3 of owning a 1KF. I had to remove the carbs today to TRY and fix a bad gas leak on the main T. (the T is broken)
I noticed that I am missing a hose as pictured in this
pic.

(not my pic or bike by the way)

My question is with this hose missing would it cause hard starts?
I had it running on day 1 without it.

things like that need to be posted in general tech or bike oriented section.
if the hose is there on other bikes it usualy means it needs to be there for some reason.
good luck with the fix.

Looks like it's just a breather tube. It shouldn't make a difference with starting.
