Thanks SB, it has been a morale booster reading all the comments and getting tips on here. I am getting very close to getting the old bus back on the road now. My bike is far from mint and there is a great deal I would like to change to get it where I'd like to be but one particular bugbear of mine is these hateful footpegs, nasty pattern parts which leave your foot too low to have good brake control and lack the vibration reduction of rubber faced pegs.

 

So I hunted eBay for a solution and found these, £8.49 for the pair with all the springs etc to fit :-D

They look great, not quite stock, but very close.

Reminds me, I really must get new rubbers for mine.

 

The day finally came, i fitted the coolant hose, hunted down a broken wire in the starter circuit, transferred the insurance and went for a ride :-D
