Default Gutted and broken

Waited years to finally get the FR I wanted, had two weeks of fixing up and spending to improve it and yesterday got taken out by a buttmonkey in a tipper truck!

Haven't seen the bike yet as I was carted away by paramedics on a spinal board. Broken ribs and collar bone along with all the usual bumps n scrapes.

So gutted

Oh - that's absolutely terrible. I hate to hear this sort of news. I'm glad you're still here, but I'm sorry to see you injured.. Worry about yourself first, not the bike. You can always fix it later.

I hope you have a speedy recovery

And I hope the bike isn't too bad.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Fenner.

Hope they fix you-up properly, at the end of the day, the bike is just metal, skin and bone is more precious.

I'm sure everyone on here will wish you a speedy recovery.

Hope you recover quickly. Like it was said above the bike can always be repaired.
This did make me wonder about the insurance laws in the U.K. Are they analogous to the one in the US? As in, is the other driver responsible for the repair of your vehicle?

That really is a bummer Fenner, but I am very happy that you are not seriously hurt.

Mend well, then worry about the bike.

Cheers, SB

Good you survived. Most guys who get hit by construction vehicles don't !
Get better, then give us a list of parts you need to rebuild. We all have stuff laying around.

Default The horror oh the horror

A little before and after view. Since no insurance payout is going to happen it seems my chances of fixing this are currently zero. I am very happy to have walked away from the incident but can't help being devastated about the damage. I don't earn a fortune and have all the usual financial pressures to cope with, mortgage, kids, bitch ex-wife etc. The only luxury, if you can call it that, I afford myself is the best bike I can afford to ride and now after only two weeks its dead.

No payout???!!!!! there are good bike solicitors out there who will fight for you no win no fee

But you are in the right place to get help, advice and access to parts when you get a true measure of the real listed damage.
