Why dont you try other cheaper material that can do the job of vinyl finishing.

I plan covering my bike in vinyl this spring or summer. What goes into preparing the surface?

Mak sure the surface is as clean as possible... no blemishes or stuff stuck on it. that'll make the vinyl bubbble

wrapping with vinyl yourself is really a hard job... you need to have lot of patience
