Wanted my connections to be plug-n-play for easy install & removal. Had seen the various "kits" at high prices for sale. Here's how I did it. I wired the diodes to Indy Leads on one end & quick disconnects on the other, shrink tubing of course. Cost = approx $5. Works just like the expensive kits & works just as well.

I have three wire flush mounts in the front and an integrated light for the rear. I had to disconnect the running light wire in order to make the integrated work correctly. (that is what the tech support told me) So what could i do in this situation to get my running lights back while still having a integrated taillight?

This is on a 97 F3

Thanks

Whats the big deal about keeping running lights? I think they are kinda ugly if you ask me.. reminds me of a goldwing coming up on one.

ANSWER: To each his own of course- live & let live.

Some folks do alot of night riding. Any extra (legal) illumination to be visable is a plus.

I do mostly night riding.. I just dont see the extra benifit from having sidemarkers when the headlight or lights is 10x brighter. From a distance im sure you cant even see the sidemarkers. But thats my opinion, I was only curious.

Another great thread, just want to bump it up and say thanks. I picked up some new flushmounts from ebay and like quite a few others was confused about the 2 wire situation. The mod worked perfectly and i think i paid 2.50 for 25 diodes lol.

Very nice how-to, next weekend I'll be doing this mod, I have flushmounts with regular bulbs but like a previous post, if I turn them into running lights, could they melt the plastic??? Thats just a question...

Thanks....
