Convert 2 wire signals to 3 Wire Inputs
i just completed one side and my blinker stays on like a running light.
it will blink (a bit too fast but i can try to fix that.)
surely it doesn't stay on always like a running light???
I believe i followed everything correctly...
any suggestions?

wow I feel silly,
i really just wanted to know what the proper way to hook up 2 wires to 3 wire lights.... i get it now!!!
i want to make my (future)audi lights do the same thing so blindly following payed off!

its easy to do. it cost me $22 for the lights and $2 for the diodes.

I followed the guide with diodes 1N4001 from Radioshack, and it does indeed turn my Hotbodies flushmounts into both running lights and blinkers. But when I use the turn signal, both left and right indicators on the gauge panel flash. When I apply brake, the lights turn off, AND to top it all off, the rear doesn't blink either. In the rear, I have standard bulbs and I do have the hotbodies blinker box, which speeds up the blinkers when brake is pressed. What can I do?

dude you are the man!
I am in school right now studding electrical engineering and had a blast doing this fix haha!
Just curious, what is the difference in the blue and blue-white-stripe wire? Like what exactly are they for? My flush mount came with two wires which are your normal + and - leads. So I figured that the harness (the two blue wires) would be +12 and ground (since the guy selling said it would fit my bike). When I hooked up the lights this way, they stayed on all the time and would turn off when the blinker was selected. I did see the green ground wire on a separate wire, but at this point I didn't want to cut up any of the wires (on either the bike side or the blinker side) so I got online and found this post!
also, why do you need diodes on the lines? just curious! thanks man!
