solution

i have found that any smart charger can activate the batteries, i got a projecta 6stage charger for $83 on ebay and it seems to do the job.

just noticed the date on my battery is 7/12/04. and it still starts the bike just fine. only 700 miles have been put on in the last 5 years so i guess im gettin lucky haha
