Okay girl i know says her throttle is sticking shut sometimes and open sometimes. Says it's random. When it stuck shut she broke it loose by using both hand and turning it as hard as she could. Know i haven't road it, but i was wondering if you guys had a suggestion for her. She asked me,but since i am not mech. inclinded i didn't have an answer right off the bat.

you need to lube the assembly and the throttle cable ever so often. has she ever done this?

Yeah they sell lube "kits."

Who is it? Better not be the chick with that Daytona!!!

Yup, just take the ignition casing and handle grip all completely off. Glance at the cables to make sure there's no krimps and clean and lube everything back up. Reattach and then check it. Mine had problems and after looking at it and putting it back on after cleaning it was fine.

Althought im not sure where to get lube or greese at for the parts..i was looking myself. Anyone know?!

cycle gear has it...honda has lube for it too...any shop should have it...

psss...it can be from a suzuki dealer too and say suzuki on it ;-)

If its carbed something could be going on in there. Usually if its lack of lube in cables it will gradually get harder to twist, not instantaneously.

I would look for kinks even one that doesn't look that severe could cause throttle stick,
and eventuallly the extra stress on the cable will just snap it in two.
Or maybe it just needs some grease...

thanks guy. sorry i was out of town for awhile. ya i will prob try to look at it this weekend and see if i can tell. Good info. Kid i don't know if ya know her she rides a f4i(02 i think) Grey and Red. She is blond. No nothing about a Daytona.
