Default Sticking throttle

Just a quicky, to save a lot of swearing and stressing here's a little tip!
My throttle kept sticking at about 4000rpm when the engine warmed up, now after new cables, carb strip downs+ balancing and a lot of fiddling I found the answer!
When you lift the tank, the washers with the spacer attached that go through the rubbers at the headstock end of the tank (2x8mm bolts) NEED TO BE THE RIGHT WAY UP OR THE THROTTLE WILL STICK!!!!!!!!!!!
Theypush in from underneathfolks

we're all guilty of stupo's, another top tip i found was if you put fuel in the little roundy hole on top of the tank you dont have to walk home.and another beauty i noticed if you take your lock off before you ride you dont look like a ****'en egyt on the ground in the car park.

Mine fit from the top, and my throttles have never stuck, so you need to strip the whole lot down again and find the real reason.....................

Live and learn, we've all done it, especially not putting fuel in the roundy hole thingy.
These bikes don't push too easily.....[X(]

I agree, they should go in through the top so that you don't loose them while lifting the tank.
The cables may have been moved when the tank was up.

CBRclassic, you are 100% correct.
The old saying is,"Don't force it.....get a bigger hammer."

If I take the carbs out again I will be using semtex, but I dont have any detonators so if you want to pop round with your toolkit CBR Classic you might be able to help out[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
