I was headed home when I got to a road that was tore up and grated because the workers where I live tear the whole damn rode up then lay the pavement. Anyways when riding on it I was being pulled and bounced and jostled and when I started to stop I heard a grinding kinda noise, thinking my tire went flat from the road. Well it wasn't and so I went on and slowed down without brakes and still heard the noise. My front end it seems to come from and it seems to make a constant soft whine noise and everyonce in a while a grinding noise. I'm not sure if it was possibly a bearing or something. What noise do front bearings make when they go bad, and is it bad to ride on one if it isone?

 

Its the zombie problem that is inherent to Hondas. You gota blow the head off. Sometimes that doesnt work. Fire usually works great. A temp fix is to cut the legs off. Even then it could still come back. I suggest if you low on supplys you just run as fast as you can, preferably to a light source.

Unless the road was REALLY REALLY bad, I don't think you would have immediate catastrophic failure of your bearings.
If, however your bearings are bad, then yes, it would be wise to not ride it until fixed.

 

Im not sure if this is what you experienced,

but, depending on what the surface was you were riding over, if there was gravel or sand or torn up road debris. It can stick to your front tire and when it comes around it will scrape the inner part of your front fender and create a grinding noise. there is not much clearance there and it canbe very loud. I use to live about a half mile down a dirt road, so I've heard this noise before.

If its not making the noise while your not on that surface, its probably nothing.
