Default Replacing Stator, any advice?

I have a 93 900 RR and plan on replacing the stator this weekend. This looks relatively easy but is there any tricks or things I should do to make it easier or make sure it is done correctly? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default RE: Replacing Stator, any advice?

Only thing I can think of is...Don't forget to get a gasket. I almost overlooked this when planning the job myself.

Here is a link to a run-through of the stator change that I found with a quick google search. The write-up is for a RoadStar, but there are definitely some tips in there for any bike.
