Default RE: question on frame sliders

ORIGINAL: BabyGirlF3

Hey guys, I need help! I need to get some frame sliders for my bike. I noticed they have extended frame sliders which are longer than normal, and then they have just the regular ones. What do you think is better? and what would you buy?
I've used Protek frame sliders on all of my bikes and I think they work the best. Don't go for the ones w/ intergrated turn signals or the ones that are chromed or polished. They don't work as well nas the plastic ones. Swingarm sliders are good for putting the bike up and make the bike look good w/ matching frame sliders but I've broken a few right from the threads. The barends act as sliders so you don't need to change them. If your going 40 and 50 mph the bar/clip on usally breaks right at the fork anyway. I'd save mw money.

If we are just snapping off the engine bolt, i would just go to the local Ace Hardware and pick up the same size bolt but with a higher rating. That would probably do the trick.

One of my buddies dumped his bike in a wheelie though, Slammed right on its side and the slider still didnt break off, just bent sideways.
