Not sure what color you're going with, but the primer also has an impact on the outcome. Black primer gives you deeper richer color for blues and reds, yellow gives more pop to whites and yellows and will brighten reds and blues. Grey is pretty much middle of the road so if you used that you're fine whichever color you go with.
