Not starting properly CBR600F4i
I have a 2002 CBR600F4i. I was out of town last weekend and unfortunately the bike was left out and it rained that weekend. Bike started up fine when I got back but later that evening it wouldnt. The bike displays as if my brights are on, but neither of my headlights work. When I hit the fuel switch nothing happens, no noise of any kind. I continued to try and start it but it would not turn over. Battery is fine brake lights and blinkers work and horn. I got it to start but only because the start button was stuck and when I puled it back out to the original position the bike shut off. Any help and ideas would be great. Thanks and ride safe.

The starting switch has been problematic on F4/F4i's. What you described - having to pull out the start button - was what my F4 experienced as well. As you know, the switch cuts power to the headlight during the starting procedure. After start, the light immediately comes on. Sometimes the contacts in the switch get corroded/dirty/etc. Try spraying some WD40 in the switch first. Then, if that doesn't do the trick, open up the switch & clean it. The switch could simply be worn out but more than likely, it will still work w/a cleaning. Give that a try first & see if it helps.
