Default Installing Throttle Cables on a 2003 CBR 954 RR

I've installed Apex Adjustable Riser clip-ons on my '54. Great product. Well made and very adjustable.

The height I selected requires longer throttle cables. I ordered a set of + 4" from Motion Pro.

My question: On the throttle cables, do the "open" cable barrel and "close" cable barrel install from the same side of the throttle body throttle cam?

I can't see the cam from the side and I'm not willing to remove the throttle bodies to install the cables.

Any hints, tool recommendation or installation tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sandy

Im not 100 percent sure, but Im pretty sure they both attach from the top side of the throttle body cam.

Also, the reason you can't see it from the side is I think the cables attach in the middle of the throttle body. I think you will have to remove your gas tank and air cleaner to get to it.

Thank you for your note.

I have lifted the tank and removed the air cleaner, air funnels and airbox.

You are correct: the throttle cam is in the middle of the throttle body so I can't see the side of the cam.

I'm borrowing a mirror from my dentist so I can see how the new cable barrels will install on the cam.

I think that the 'open' cable pulls from the bottom and the 'close' cable pulls from the top of the cam.

Any suggestions as to how to install the new cables will be appreciated.

Sandy
