Default Installing throttle cables onto throttle body? Help!

Hey guys, I had taken off the throttle bodies to do some work on my bike. Now that I'm putting everything back together, I'm running into a small problem.

For the life of me I cannot get the bottom throttle cable in it's spot on the throttle drum. I've tried bending the cable with pliers, I've tried turning the drum fully open, I've tried all I can think of. It's in such an awkward place, and I'm running out of ideas. Has anyone done this before? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

what I had to do was remove the throttle body again... Like the rubber clamps/ Slightly lift the throttle body and install the bottom cable first. Then top last. Once both on, then remount the throttle body. Worked for me as I could not for the life of me get them on without lifting the throttle bodies

I feel your pain. You'll have to take stuff off most likely, unless you have lots of patience. But skameigh has a good idea.
