Exhaust leak -- How bad is bad?

I just installed an Art slip-on on my F4i and I have a really small exhaust leak between the mid-pipe and the canister. My pipe doesn't use springs or a clamp so there is not really anything I can do to fix it so I was wondering if I even need to worry about it. The only reason I noticed it is when warming up in the morning my exhaust 'breath' is very visible in the cold morning air, and I happened to see little wisps of exhaust coming from the mid-pipe/canister connection.
Is a little leak OK? If not what can I do to fix it? Please don't tell me to get some vise grip pliers and crimp it tighter [:'(]

you should always seal leaks if possible, it cannot hurt.
Buy some hi-temp gasket maker like the stuff here
You can buy it at most hardware or automotive stores. If it is two seperate pieces, pull them apart and put some in the canister end, then put the mid-pipe in. It will take care of the leaks. I did it on my F4 without any problems. Also look for a leak where the mid-pipe attaches to the headers. I had a leak there that I sealed with the same stuff.
