Default Which is the correct temperature?

Hi, I'm new in the forum and in the world of CBRs. I have a F4i 2002 machine, and in the tachometer has a temperature indicator. The question is which is the medium temp because doesn't says when it's getting hot.

Thanks for your help.

Well the temperature varies quite a bit depending on how fast your going and what the temp is outside. For me cruising on the highway my temp is almost always at 177-178, but if it's nice and cool out it'll run at 174. But then if your sitting still or going slow, it'll make it's way up to 228, with the cooling fan coming on at about 224. Mine has never gone above 228, so if it did go much above that I'd start to worry. If I remember right from the manual, the ECM will turn on a warning light if it gets around 250, so that's definitely too hot.

As long as yours is staying in the range of 17x - 22x I wouldn't worry about it too much. Mine has been going between these temps since the day I bought it new

Thanks for your answer, it was very clear. Now I can understand what the machine says.
