Default 900rr brake light

The brake light on my 1996 Fireblade remains on after using the foot brake. Any ideas? Hope its a quick fix!

The rear pull switch is probably sticking, Give the shaft a good cleaning and see if the issue is resolved.

Thanks for this. Probably misunderstanding something, but I'm not sure about the 'pull' switch reference - rear brake lever operates on a 'push' switch doesn't it?

Honestly, I'm not sure. Mine works from a pull switch via a spring connected to the lever.

A simple mechanism, just inspect, clean and adjust. Releasing tension on the spring slightly should show you the lamp going out and more travel required to get it to illuminate.
Best of luck

Got it - was looking at it incorrectly. Thanks again. Mike
