Default What is this noise?

Hi to all,

I’ getting a sort of a rattling / vibrating noise from about 2500 revs upwards. It is loudest when cruising in gear, with a closed throttle (e.g. down a slopey road). At first I thought the chain is either touching the guard or the centre stand, but since it only does from 2500 revs upwards I ruled it out. Can it be CCT? It is still heard after 4000 revs but very faintly probably because probably the Scorpion exhaust drowns the noise.

Not to be a hater but this is a forum. We can't hear your noise! Take it to a mechanic and have him listen to it!

Cheers, though maybe someone could relate to my email through exeprience, especially since CCT is very common.

Sounds like you got yourself a dirty chain.Or possiblythechain tensionis tootight or even the rear wheel is out of alignment. If you’re hearing the noise from the left side then that may be the culprit. CCT is on the right side of the bike. But it is hard to determine the cause without hearing it.

Default Update - What is this noise?

Took it to shop, they said it CCT.However, I'm not 100% convinced as I canstill hear it a little bit if it gets revved in neutral (though much fainter). Somewhere in here I read that CCT is load dependable which I understand it means in gear.Has anyone experienced it in neutral?

Thanks a million for your help.

the faint noise u still hear could be ur valves not adjusted correctly by just a hair. takes some time sometimes to get them exactly right.
