Paint it with bed liner. Seriously. It's gonna get abused by dirty and rocks constantly. It's what I'd do if I picked one up. That or just a cheap flat black.

+1 to the bed liner. My bike's front fairings are covered with it at the moment. Looks good btw and will protect like no one paint.

Bed liner sounds like an awesome idea. I was skeptical about putting the time and effort into painting it the factory blue just so it can get chewed up by road debris. Do they sell bed liner spray in a rattle can?

I doubt that, but I'm sure you can get it covered at some car shop. Should be cheap to do it.

I'm debating now between black and red, great. When I thought I had my mind made up.

So i decided to go with the bed liner because i think the black will look better than the blue and because of the wear and tear the bed liner spray is capable of taking. Any one know any stores that sell the Duplicolor bed liner rattle can? I stopped by a few local store today and no one had it...

I painted mine black, I have the red/black paint scheme on my bike and I love the look of the black undertail. I can guarantee that if I painted it factory red I would not like it as much.
