Hey guys I just got my PCIII for my F4i



does anyone know anything about it... idk if the jack on it is to plug into a computer or what... is it a primative modedl? i got it for 42 bucks so i can t compling but idk how to use the stupid thing....

never mind i figured out it used a old school data port rather than usb

 

Yes that port is for you to change the maps by downloading it from computer.You can also go to their web site for more info.

 

Hey zmds, I have the same PCIII and I need to remap it. Just wondering where/how much did you buy your plug for? I found a plug that goes into the PCIII and into a usb port but it was 30 bucks. Didn't want to spend 30 on a plug I'll probably use just once. What kind of plug is it btw? I forgot the type. Was it DBA?

 

USB to Serial is what you need. You should be able to find them for less than $10.

 

ya man like aken said.... you should be able to pick them up on ebay.... im not sure.... just count how many prongs you have and on your pcIII but just figure it out and go from there

 

Where can I find it for less then 10? Lol including shipping. Cheapest I'm finding in stores is 20 bucks. I was thinking of buying it from Fry's, remap, then return.

 

Not saying that is a bad plan but you may use it more then once. Depends on how much u really want to play with that model. I am still really new at the mapping process. I have one but it is the pins to pins model funny thing is i can only use it on my laptop. Tells you how out of date it is. LOL
