Default Undertail Paint Question

So i bought the Pimpbikes undertail that keeps the stock tail light. I am debating on whether to paint it the same color as the bike (candy tahitian blue) or to paint it just black. Either way it will fit with the bikes color scheme i just cant seem to decide.

Yea my bike is blue and black so I have to paint it because it came in white primer. I bought a rattle can of the factory blue paint from color rite but don't know if I wanna use it after all.

Take a piece of the bike to a local Sherwin Williams AUTOMOTIVE shop. Get them to match the color.

Then go to Harbor Freight and buy a 20 dollar gravity feed paint gun. Hook it up to a compressor. Practice a couple times, and then hit it. Use plenty of PSI so that you don't get real bad Orange Peal.

It might cost a little bit because you will have to buy reducer and hardener, but you can keep it and use it in the future for other things you paint.

I did this with some things and have been surprised how often I have pulled that paint gun out and painted something.

Just keep in mind the cheaper you go the worse it will get chiped. And even a quality Urethane paint job on it will chip on the undertail, trust me .

The rattle can i bought is an exact match for the factory blue paint on the rest of the bike. I also bought a good clear coat in a rattle can to put over it. I have seen some pretty decent paint work done with them as long as you take your time and do it right.

I have been looking at one of these under tails they are Awesome. I have an airbrush a mini gravity feed and a big one...is what we are getting at is that you dont need to pay colorrites astronomical prices to have a nice job done?
