I've noticed my tranny on my 02 F4i (12.5k mi) has been getting clunkier and clunkier with first and second shifts. When dropping down to first at a light I get a rather prominent clunk, I realize the engine is spinning at a rate different than the gear cogs some clunk is normal, but it seems to be getting worse here the last few days, plus is when i shift into second when getting into it hard, alot of time it will miss it and land in neutral (can't be good ). Bike has never been dropped (in mint shape), and it's got Amzoil moto synthetic in it with only 2K mi on it. Would clutch freeplay adjustment have any effect on this? Also I get alot of gear whine while crusing, is this normal?

 

I think it might. I know that if you're popping out of gears then the tranny is in need of new "Dogs?", or gears as I call them.
