Default Rough starting, rough idle, rough running question

Hi all, I finally drained the gas tank, got the new plugs in, changed the oil, charged the battery and filled her with fresh gas. It was almost impossible to get it started. Once it start (chocked) it wouldn't idle without throtteling it. It finally idled but every time I tried it without the chock it died. It would not run without chocked, drove it around the block and it died three times. Any suggestions on what to do to get her running smoothly??

Sounds like it has sat for a while. Pilot jets could be plugged or you have a vacuum leak. Check all of the vac line fittings on the intake runners between the carbs and the cylinder head. Make sure the clamps holding the carbs on are tight too. If these check out, you'll have to pull the carbs and float bowls to clean everything. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, I plan on pulling the carbs and going through them this weekend. I'll keep my progress posted.
