An F4i (that's an i not a 1

) is from 2001-2006. A 2000 CBR is an F4. And the things to look out for are exactly the same, so watch this thread.

What's the story with the CCT problem? Where can I learn more so I can know if a bike I'm going to buy has the problem? How expensive is it to fix by a pro, and can a smart guy who can do his own valves fix it?

i bought my f4i 2 days ago. 2002 f4i with 9.6k miles. no dents/scratches/never been dropped. took it to the mechanic and he said everything is in tip top shape. he had an scorpion exhaust, aftermarket taillights/turnlights. fitted the tires with pierille (sp?). and some other stuff. i bargined it down to $3600 from 3900.

FYI I bought my 2001 F4i for $3500 with 8K miles on it in mint condition -- never been down and no scratches. I know friends of mine who got better deals than that too....
