i need help my friend is selling me his bike it needs a chain and battery and a tune up what else do you think it needs its been sitting since 2002 30000 miles it was covered farely does anyone kno how much its gonna cost to reg. the bike the throttle is also stuck any info please thanx

 

Pretty much an impossible question. The bike could be worth anywhere from $200-$2,000+ depending on the condition.
Registration/inspection is different everywhere you go.... and if you're talking about how much to fix it up properly to pass inspection.... nobody knows.

If it just needs a throttle cable/tube, maybe $40.
Chain: $115
Sprockets: $65
Battery: $65
Labor for the above, plus a "tune up": $200-$1,000

Nobody can tell you exactly what it needs without seeing the bike, and there are many other potential issues with a bike that's been sitting that long that we don't know the history on. Wish I could help more.
If he only wants a few hundred for the bike and it's in decent cosmetic shape, I'd take the gamble.
