Starts without pulling clutch??
And if you really want to feel like a spaz, do what I do: Start it in neutral with the kickstand down, then pull in the clutch, put it in gear, and make it stall.

I haven't had my F4i that long....I just realized itstarts without pulling the clutch. I guess that's normal?

I would hope you like the CBR more. The Katana is a bargain, entry level bike designed for novice riders. The CBR is much more refined and technology laden. And since you are moving up, you should notice these changes more than somebody that started out on a CBR.
My first bike was a Sucksuzi Bandit (600cc), and it took me oh, I don't know, about 2 miles riding it home to realize that the CBR was a much better bike. If you haven't ridden a bike other than a sport bike, you can't appreciate the braking power these monsters have. That is just one major difference. Throw in the higher performing engine, better geometry for twisties, EFI and the ease to upgrade. Carburetors suck and all the bargain bikes come with them. Every time you change anything you have to get them rejetted. With the EFI you can just remap A/F ratio and if required, use the Power Command to also advance/retard the timing.

I know what you mean about realizing how much better the CBR is. I had a '91 ZX6 back when it was a fairly new bike, It was probably a decent bike for it's time but I sold it after I hit a deer. I just used the Katana last season as a cheap wayto get back into riding. I've onlyridden the CBR about 5 miles due to the weather here, but already I can see the huge difference in the way it rides compared to the Kat.
