Mine did this to me once and baffled me. The bright indicator would come on but no fuel pump and headlights. Once I got bike started it was fine as long as I didnt mess with the lights. Mine turned out to be a pinched wire in a connection in the front. Its a bad ground. Check ground wires in the front area.

this is exactly what I'm figuring. Once I pulled all the wires and put them back in, everything has been fine since. I still plan on pulling the front fairing and checking all the wires next week when I'm off work for a couple days. For now, I'm just riding around with enough tools to take her apart again if need be. I got the bike with flush mounts on the front, and it's a pretty ugly job, so it's possible my short is there too, i just need to pull the tape, check the connections, and solder them correctly.

Any resolution to this issue?

I'm currently having a similar issue... my fuel pump is not priming, BUT my headlight is coming on. All other systems such as the tach and what not are showing power and lighting up as normal. Just no fuel pump prime, no kick when the starter is pressed... just spins and never catches ignition.

Make sure to check your fuses before you start taking things apart.

I never actually resolved my problem but i stopped having it after I checked connections and whatnot. I'm guessing something was loose but I haven't had time to check my wiring so I'm not sure its actually fixed. Yours sounds like a fuse or fuel pump. Check fuses first then check that the fuel pump is getting power.
