ive been living in phoenix for 8 months w/o a light on the plate and havent caught any trouble.
just remove you're rear signals and sawzaw off where the plate holder curves into the base. looks pretty clean for a hackjob on mine. be sure to use hand signals tho, i have gotten popped for that.
