Cold running

yeah, its COLD!!!
contrary to poular beleif, engines are not made to be turned on and used straight away, neither cars nor bikes are.
the reason for this is simple, there are a number of different metals used in your engine's construction, the crank, bearing cases, pistons, conrods, rings etc etc. all these different metals expand at a different rate, untill the engines reaches its normal operating temperature.
it is a fact that 80-90 % of engine wear occurs in the first 7 minutes of running, ie, when it is getting up to temperature.
this is why a bike that has 50,000 miles that is used only on long weekend rides (hot running) is normally in much better internal condition that an engine that has done 20,000miles, used only for the ten minute trip each way to work -(cold running)
solution, start your bike, with a bit of choke, let it run. THEN go out your pants, boots, jacket helmet and gloves on. by the time youve done this and come back out (a couple of minutes, say 3-8 minutes) the bike is warm., flick the choke off, and go crazy.
simple answer, let it warm up BEFORE you ride it.

Okay I just never thought it would run as crapy as it dose I mean yea all motors run better warm and a little sputter here and there yea but it jerks and pops a fue backfires the whole 9 yards, but I guess your right I'll just let it run for about 5-10min befor I go out next time, the other day it was about the same temp out all day and night and it didn't act up as bad as it did today.
