I picked up a salvaged 06 F4i, just 78xx mi. on odometer.
Busted body works, dented tank, looks like it sat for a while, may need to change out the fuel pump, etc..

The clock (returns to 1:00AM) and trip meter (goes to zero) seems to reset everytime the ignition is turned off with key, the tach seems to get stuck at a number and not return to zero rpm when the ignition is turned off also.
What gives?

 

I say just replace the whole wire harnesses (front, back, middle) just to keep you from having problems in the future. Ebay has them for pretty cheap also, post pics of the rebuild!
