Default RE: noise

check your oil level
if it's low you may not be getting any oil on top of the motor causing the valves to click when the cam lobe depresses the bucket

also, is this right on start up or does it make the noise after it's ran for a while?

you can do it with it resting on the kick stand
just look to make sure the oil is between the marks on the inspection window

Dude, you have to work on your spelling/grammar/punctuation. Try typing it on Microsoft Word (or similar), then copy & paste it. But anyways...

When you check the oil level in your bike, it has to be while the bike ispositioned vertically straight up& level; not leaning over on the kickstand. Otherwise you willget an inaccurate reading and possibly end up adding too much oil. Also, how many miles does it have? Has it ever had the valves checked/adjusted?

Well, the manual says 16K for the valves. If it were me, I'd go ahead and change the oil & filter; fill it up to the appropriate level, which you should do anywaysinitially after purchasinga used vehicle. Start simple, then progress to the more complicated stuff if that don't work. I'm wondering if the noise you're hearing is not the cam chain tensioner, but I believe that only occurs within certain rpm ranges. Maybe someone else can shed some light.
