noise

Default noise

I have noticed that while my bike is at idle, there is a ticking noise...any suggestions? also i have a two brothers exhaust slip on, two brothers power commander, and a k&n filter...should i be running a certain #gas at the pump?

welcome.
im assuming you are talking about ticking noise from uper engine area;
these bikes are dual over head cam with four valves/ cylinder. If this is your first bike, you may just be hearing the normal valves opening and closing noise. maybe.
how many miles? Have the valves been adjusted/ inspected? Also these bikes have auto cam chain tensioners that weaken over time. alot of us end up replacing with manual ones. search CCT.

Ye its had the noise since I got it...had it for 2yr. I've never had them looked at, bike has almost 20,000mi.
