When I first got my bike I was doing 120 consistent between fill ups. When it changed to 110 I was like....What the Hell!!! Then I remembered that I was riding a lot more agressive.

 

I was riding alittle more agressive. I had no idea.

 

Gas w/ ethanol gets worse mileage too.

 

80 miles divided by 2.5 gallons is 32 miles per gallon. That's a lot worse than 40mpg and still worse than a lot of economy cars.

Gasoline with ethanol does reduce the miles per gallon, but not on the order of 20% or more...

 

I've been wondering about the gas milage also. I get about 120 to 130 before my reserve comes on, I don't know but is that normal. they're only small 4 cylinder engines 4 cylinder cars get better than that. I know its a totally different bike but my 250 ninja got about 300 miles on a tank ours are less than half that.

 

I'm going to change my oil today and the air filter as well. I hope this helps. I will keep you guys informed. I can't seem to find a good tutorial to changing oil to a 2006 F4i specifically.

 

Yeah, I'd love to see an economy car move like my F4i from stoplight to stoplight.

Before I started filling it to the metal bar, I was getting 100 miles to 2.5 gallons riding through Boston rush hour traffic. Not bad at all.
