You can make nylon extensions out of sections of a nylon bread board - easy to shape, cheap and effective.
Problem solved !

Has anyone tried VFR mirrors? Looking at photos online they look like they'd fit, but the stalks are a little longer. My buddy said he fit a F4i mirror on his 2003'ish VFR once, so they should bolt on. I meant to do a side by side of the mirrors but he sold it before I got a chance.
