Post Mirror Spacers Review

Just purchased these mirror spacers from BurkHartCycle. I wasn't able to find much info about mirror spacers on the forum so I thought I'd do a quick review. I love my Honda but I have to say the stock mirrors are terrible, especially for seeing behind you. I'd go as far as saying they're the worst performing mirrors of all the bikes I've ever ridden.

Honda CBR600 F4 1" mirror spacers, extenders
Cost: $18.00 + Shipping

I took before and after photos showing of my point of view while mounted in my typical riding position. I used my Weber BBQ to illustrate something behind me while riding; it's not ideal example but it gives the general idea. I took 4 photos per mirror to show the before and after, stock mirrors then with spacers installed respectively. The photos show my point of view while in normal riding position as well as tucking in my arm to see behind me.

I know my mirrors are not angled evenly. I intentionally point my left mirror more behind me so I can better see behind me. I don't use my left mirror much for left lane changes, instead I prefer to take my left hand off the grip and turn my body around. This gives me a good view to my left while keeping my right hand on the throttle to maintain speed. I'm sure I could also tune the mirror positions better but for this review I just tried to keep everything consistent.

Product:
The spacers were packaged well. They're made of Delrin which the seller claims is better than other materials since it resists fading. And no I don't plan to use them as sliders .

Final Thoughts:
Overall I thought the quality of the spacers were good quality, sold at a reasonable price and improved my visibility. I have yet to test them out on the road but so far it looks like they will help. The mirrors do look a little funny (like bug antennas) but personally I'll take the improved visibility over aesthetics. I do wish they came black anodized bolts instead stainless but that could be easily fixed with some touch up paint. Hope this helps.

I've had the same ones for about 7 years and while it doesn't look like they give a bunch more (from the pics) to see they really do help.

You're right, I was able to try these out on my commute to work today. I'm able to see behind me and to the sides so much better now.
