I recently removed the rear tire off my 01 929 and the axle spacers fell out. i need to know which one goes on the sprocket side and if there is a proper way to insert the other on the other side of the wheel? One of the spacers has a lip or edge around it, what side does it go on?

 

the spacer with the lip goes on the sprocket side with the lip facing the swing arm

 

ok, so the one with the lip is on the sprocket side, does it matter how the other spacer goes in or is it the same on both sides of the spacer?
