Default fork leak question

Today I was out doing a couple (3) emergency stop drills. When I got home about 10 minutes of ride time, I parked the bike in the garage. Came out a few minutes later and saw a small puddle of oil under my left fork tube. I looks as to have run down the tube onto the ground. What do ya'll think. It is an 06' with like 2200 miles. Can it be a bad seal already? Dang it man.

compress the forks, if the upper part is just shiny and dry your seals are good, if oil is on the upper part after compressing them, youll need new seals. you could have a bad seal, i hope not but its not too hard to do if you have the tools. and the parts r cheap.

I was in your situation last year. My bike (then) had about 2300 miles on it and my seals needed to be changed. Now, I went down in February 2009 and I don't know if that is why I needed new fork seals or if they were leaking from before.

In any event, the seals are easy to change. The hardest part for me was using a homemade seal driver.

There are DIY directions on this forum and others.
