Hey guys. Just wanted to buy some mods to have for my new bike purchase. I have decided to go with no-cut frame sliders. The way I look at it, is that if godforbid I have an accident/slide the bike at speed, I assume sliders or not stuff is getting wrecked. From what I have read, it seems that no-cut sliders offer better protection for garage falls/stand still knock overs and slow speed drops etc..With me being a noob, I think that is the best route for me as of now..What is the best no-cut brand/type for an 01-03 F4i?

The only no cut brands I know are...(any help/recommendations?)

-T-Rex (heard they were junk)
-Does Shogun make a no-cut for the F4i?
-Motivation (discontinued?)
-R&G
http://www.rg-racing.com/browseType/...29/CP0012.aspx

Also, I read that there are swingarm mounted sliders? Any body have these installed and if so do they work? Pros/Cons? Pics? Best brand?

These here are R&G but it only says for RR? Think they fit F4i's?

http://www.cyclesector.com/SHOGUN_SW...ools-600rr.htm (or these? whats the difference?)

Thanks guys

think i read the no cut sliders generally stink and can cause more damage in an accident. i'll let one of the board vets confirm that though.

I have Vortex frame sliders, the pucks are replaceable if you break them instead of buying a whole new frame slider if that is what you wanted.

The second thing you posted are stand spools. They are meant to be used for bike stands vs the swingarm stands. F4i's don't have the mount for spools like the 600rr's do. You can buy the pieces and have them welded on which is what I'm doing.

I've also read a lot of stories about how ****ty no cut sliders are, kinda defeat the purpose of having them at all... and I have heard horror stories about them causing more damage than the fall too

Get a real slider. You'll thank yourself later. There are many threads on this board alone on how to cut the holes in your fairings for installation.
