I just recalled something else...

The 'high-beam' light doesn't show up.

Here's a little update to whats going on...

The turn signal selector is blowing the headlight fuse even when the front and rear harnesses are disconnected.

The starter/BAS fuse only blows if the front harness is connected.

So I have a few questions...

I suppose the computer could always be the problem, is there a way to test that aside from swapping it into another bike?

I can't think of any reason why the turn signal would be blowing the headlight fuse, Any ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: The headlight fuse still blows even with the computer disconnected.

Do you have a manual? My Clymer manual has a great wiring diagram in the back. If you don't have something similar to this I can copy what I've got and mail it to you Monday with the other items. It helped me immensely with all the custom wiring I did to trace the path of every wire.

UPDATE:

My bike is running for the first time in 6 months ago when I totaled it. Since then the bike has been completely torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. And it ran for the first time today. needless to say I'm very happy.

So on to the solution to me blowing fuses and everything...

Let me just say, make sure you plug everything into the right place lol. It turns out I was plugging the turn signal plug into the headlight socket... I felt pretty stupid upon realizing this. But i could care less.. It runs!

Thanks for everyones help.
