Default 02 starting issue

Hello new to the forums I just bought a 2002 brand new battery I put in and when I go to hit the start button it just keeps clicking from the starting solenoid. I have voltage coming on the battery from the battery to the solenoid and from the solenoid to the starter there is voltage also. All that happens is loud clicking when I go to start it from the solenoid. And idea.?

Burned starter motor?
Also are you sure the engine can run smoothly?
Clicking starter motor could very well imply broken internal startermotor wires.
If the motor just doesn't turn it could be worn out brushes.
Hitting the startermotor while trying to start could give answer to that.

that sounds like the brushes are gone, replacing those is a lot cheaper and still an easy job.
