i have an 03 954 with k&n, micron exhaust and pc3 and i am tired of the bog and delay at low rpm's. does anyone have experience with removing those exhaust and intake flow controller flaps? i always thought the more the motor can breathe the better it runs

 

After removing and adding parts. Has the bike been tuned? i still have my flaps and i have no problem with power. i can pull it up no problem at 3500rpm in first and early in 2nd as well. If i stand correct the flaps are for low rpm. The start to open at 4500 fully open at 7500 rpm i beilieve, Could be wrong tho

 

just get new sprockets. i went -1 in the front and it was a totally different bike. some people do different setups but -1 front is a good starting point IMO.
