What's up guys,

New to the board as well as bikes, I picked up a 954 about a month ago and noticed there in an oil leak just under the air box/ top side of motor. My question is do any of you guys have an idea what it could be before I pull the tank and box to look for it?
I have dyed the oil so I can see basicaly where it is coming from just cant pin point it. It's a little tight in there.
Bike only leaks till it cools down and seems to blow back on the shock can then drip to the swing arm then to the ground toward the back of the bike.
Just looking for some ideas to start with valve cover, vent.....

You could overfill the oil, it could leak out the top. Otherwise, if the valve adjustment has been done recently, it's not too hard to seat the valve cover gasket incorrectly - it is a tight fit (insert jokes here).

I'd pull the fairings and lift the gas tank (don't take it off - too much work) and look closer with a small mirror and a flashlight.

Thanks I was leaning toward a valve cover as well, but don't think it is over filled since I drained some out and it still leaked.
