Oil leak...

Oil leak...
Pulled into my carport and noticed my bike had a drip which then turned into a puddle the length of my chain.
Pulled the fairings, cleaned her up an then added some more oil. I tracked the leak to right behind the front sprocket.
After looking at the manual I came to the conclusion that it is a countershaft oil seal gone south which means pulling the engine.
Could it be anything else? Or should I start ripping apart.
Thanks!!

You should be able to pull it out with a pick and then drive a new one on CAREFULLY using the old one as a die. I had to do this for the gearshift oil seal. Here's a tutorial for a BMW F650, if what you have to do is more involved. Good luck.
