Default GAS LEAK

okay i had this problem before but it fixed itself. my bike sat for like 3 or 4 days and today i went and it started right up. i went for a ride and i got like 5 houses down and it started bogging down so i pulled over and i had gas leaking from the carbs. i turned the gas off and drove around till it stalled then turned the gas back on and it was fine again. drove to my friends house about 2 minutes away and sat there for about ten minutes and no leak. then when we left it did it again started to bog down but with no gas leaking. it also sounded very different and lacked power. i dont have the money to get my carbs rebuilt or anything. does anyone have any ideas on why its doing this to me? thanks.

i also need to reset the air to fuel so i have to take the carbs off anyway

whell it can be a few little things. i my mouny is on the carb floats. ther is a small pin under the float called the float valve. what the float dos is it lets the gas into the carbs and whan it gots to a sertin level it stops. so if you have a bad float it will flud the carbs with will cause it to bog down flod the cabs and make it over flow and leek out the cabs

I had the same problem after pulling my bike out of storage, like stang said it was a sticky float valve, just had to do a quick carb cleaning.

Sometimes if you're lucky you can tap the sides of the carburetors around the float bowl area with a screwdriver / small hammer (not too hard) and jar loose whatever may be stuck in the float needle seat.
