Help please
Hello everybody,
I'm new to the forum so please excuse any ignorance on my part I'm not sure I'm even posting in the right place🙄.
ok here we go, I've had my 2000 929rry for about 12 months and bar service and tyres never had to fix anything.
I two days ago parked her up for the night , came out in the morning key in and straight away noticed that the priming noise didn't occur !!!
pressed the button and she turns over, obviously didn't start.
Everything electrically related works I.e lights, clocks, starter motor and so on . The fuel pump does run if I briefly apply 12v direct .I've checked the fuses and they all appear ok. I did find a connection that had burnt through (three yellow wires coming from the engine casing I think there stator wires).I remade the connection but this didn't cure the issue I don't even know of it would be related to the pump issue.
If any one can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance,
gray
