I've been crusin this forum and getting a lot of good info, but seriously I need help.

01 929 salvage yard bike. It cranks over but the fuel pump doesnt prime and its not getting any spark. I eliminated the BAS and hard wired the fuel pump (<it turned on) But no start soI checked the spark and i get nothing.Whats next?

what about your kill switch ? could there be something messed up in there ? 2 of the easiest ways for a bike to lose the fuel pump and the spark is the BAS and the kill switch . im just curious why did you eliminate the bas ? is it possible that you modified it incorrectly and that even though you have a hard wired fuel pump the bas not being correct is causing your no spark issue ?

 

I Eliminated the BAS looking for a for sure way to check that off the list. I installed a "jumper" cable. I read about this mod in this forum so i figured it was golden. I could just as easily bolt it back in.

 

I am having the same problem on a 954. I am about to give up on it. Basically the ECU is not grounding the back side of the fuel pump relay, spark plugs, etc. The thing turns over but it is not going to do anything with no fuel or spark. I have the wiring diagram memorized now and I know that the clutch, kickstand, neutral, bas, kill switches, everything are sending voltage to the ECU. I tried a different ECU off another bike. Same problems. I read a lot on the forum about theft deterrent device in the key switch but I tried everything like sending 9v to the ECU on the pink wire. Still nothing. I am needing help on this as well.
